Rien ne va plus

Finally! I handed in my thesis today. Now I can't do anything but wait for the result. The mean thing is that I won't get to know the result before the defence. After reading my thesis in detail the two professors will "invite" me to have the defence of it. There I'll have to present in brief the results and afterwards they will ask me questions. Usually that lasts between 30 and 45 minuts. I don't know yet when that will be because professors are soooo busy;-)

For those who are interested in details: My thesis is a feasibility study for an extension to the existing water treatment system at Volkswagen de México. Really interesting... :-)

Well done, congrats!

I'm sure it is totally interesting. I mean imagine you would have to do it in literature or so, how bad is that! :-)

and referring to what you said previously on looking back, what's wrong with talking loud? :-) it's a good sign of the Latin side in you, so don't mind the others!

Fingers crossed for your thesis defence!

Congratulations!

Oh I wish I could hand in my thesis as well...if I am ever able to finish it or better - find time to work on it!

If it makes you feel any better, I wrote an exam in August and have to wait for the results till December and my professors will at least need 3 months to "read" my thesis!

So now you have a lot of free time - any idea what to do with it? If not, why not take a break and make a short trip to visit me in Bamberg?

Big hug

Thanks for your wishes. I'll keep you informed about the defence of my thesis.

What am I doing now? First of all I'll have a look at your blogs which - I confess - I haven't done for quite some time :-) Then I'm still applying for jobs as I haven't been accepted yet and I'd like to find something I'm 100% convinced of. Well, next week I'll have a phone interview... Let's see what's the outcome.

But you are right, I'll have some free time and why not go to Bamberg? I'll let you know, ok?

Congratulations from me, too! :-)

You finally made it... For the next 40 - well, let's say 45 - years you will get up at 6 , leave at 6:45, and come back home at 18:00 - every single day. What a goal to achieve... ;-) So I hope you get a job that you're convinced of and that you have fun working on.

BTW: I think I remember you had an interview at SkySails!? Since you say you have not been accepted yet, what happened?

Good luck on your defence.

Michael

Thanks for your congratulations and sharing your experiences of the professional world with me:-)

To answer your question: Yes I had an interview at SkySails and I think it went quite well but I was the first to be interviewed an last Friday they told me they didn't accept me. They prefered someone with more experience or a "real" engineer for the job. Too bad! I would have been a "dream job" to work for that company:-( Well, now I have to put some effort in my other interviews and applications.

Hey! I have not heard from you for some time - how are your interviews (wasn't there a telephone one) going?

Still waiting for your "visit" though. By the way, meeting at the 10th will be fine with me and Hildegard will be in Tann as well!

Hope to hear from you soon

I'm soooo sorry. I guess I'm very bad keeping in touch with everybody at the moment. I'll call you tomorrow, ok?

I guess the interview on Tuesday was fine but I need a lot of patience (which I lost in Mexico). They'll let me know next week or the week after. And maybe they'll invite me to the Assessment Centre...
