- It's hard to be one time. I really don't expect any more that people are punctual.
- You can't untwist German beer bottles.
- Food I considered hot before isn't hot any more.
- I forget to speak in a low voice sometimes... (The people in the cinema were quite annoyed!)
- No trips on weekends any more (I'm still working on my thesis and looking for a job).
- Sometimes I think people could be kinder.
- I wonder about many people who complain about their situation.
- I still confuse "y" and "z" on the keyboard.

Looking back
After one month at home (one month but one day) I guess it's time to look back a bit at my time in Mexico. I don't look for a basket in the bathroom any more and driving according to rules is easier than I thought (it's really relaxing driving in Germany no matter how much traffic) but:

I guess what you are experiencing now is the most normal thing in the world - everytime you leave a place and come back to "what you call home", things have changed there or better, you have changed. You have a different point of view, drawn from your new experiences and because you are looking back on a wonderful time, it is hard to understand that other people complain about their situation - probably they just envy you! But the thing is: the longer one stays in one place, the harder it gets to move on - it is only natural that we compare here and now with back and then. But it is good when you can look back and can say: Yes, that was a wonderful time and don't want to miss a single second of it for anything in the world.
Sorry, I am a bit melancholy at the moment (I want to go abroad too, I want to finish uni!!!) and I guess I also belong to the people who complain about their situation. I just hope that I don't belong to the people who could be kinder ;-)
See you on Saturday

When I wrote this post I neither thought of you as one of the persons complaining nor being unkind. It was a general experience when I came back. Germany's reputation abroad is better than most people think and maybe one has to go abroad to learn about the "good things" we have. I think it's true that Germans are world champions in complaining. But it's complaining on a high level. For example the latest poverty discussion in Germany... to be honest I find it quite rediculous! And those who could be kinder? Definitely people working in shops etc.
Have I changed?
Ey cabrón! Qué onda, guey? Extrañas las guapas mexicanas? ;-)
Quién es que me pregunta esto?
