Driving

Yes, it's true. Most Mexicans drive like crazy. And if you want to get somewhere, you have to adapt to their way of driving. At Volkswagen they have courses for those Germans who have been working here for 3 or 4 years and are about to return: the repatriats (some know the expression). You know what they teach them? Well, besides other things that in Germany there are rules for driving!
But honestly driving here is not as bad as it sounds. You get used to it very quickly. You just have to take care a bit more and think for the driver next to you or in front of to you.
During my first week here only one of the interns and one of the trainees had an accident...;-)

Kinderkrankheiten

Thanks to those who wrote their comments. I'm sorry they didn't appear until now which was because the default setting was that I have to moderate every single comment. It should be easier to post comments now!
But there is something funny about that: Everybody thought they wrote the first comment;-)

Food - The Second One

I take back everything positive I said about Mexican food last time;-) Just kidding!
Well, last Thursday I felt really misserable! I better don't tell you any details... Just that much: I spent half the night in the bathroom.
But no need to worry. I'm fine again.

Food

I guess one thing most people think about when they hear about Mexico is Mexican food. I also had my first encounters with Mexican food and I like it very much (you can ask me in 4 months if I still like it;-).

Let me tell you that you have to be careful with Mexican food. Not only because a European stomach is not used to it. The rule red = stop, green = go does not apply here;-) I can tell you because I made the experience. Also green salsas can be extremely hot...

Kick-Off

To whom it may concern...
As you can see, I have my own little blog now, too. Here I'd like to write down some of my impressions in Mexico.
I hope you don't mind I write in English so that also my English-speaking friends can participate. Please feel free to enrich this blog by your comments using the "comment" function or sending questions, remarks etc. to this email address: unbarcodepapel@arcor.de (it does not have to be in English but try to write in a language I understand;-). Muchas gracias.
