:-)

Guess what that is! Yes, my (missed) suitcase. I'm really glad that it finally arrived. This morning my a parcel service ("Good morning, Mr. Manns. I've got a parcel here. Really heavy.").

Nobody told me where something went wrong or what went wrong but I guess that it didn't stay in Madrid where I changed planes. While they could tell other passengers directly that their suitcases or bags had stayed in Madrid, they couldn't tell me anything until yesterday night. Therefore, I guess the suitcase stayed in Mexico and arrived yesterday with the next plane. Maybe it was to heavy for the worker on the airport and he said: "I've got a pain in my back anyway. The guy who will come tomorrow can do that."

And now guess the weight of my suitcase...

30kg!!!

Well done! To be honest, I wasn't really too optimistic about it...

As for weight, you are not the winner. I had 36kg when I came back from the UK, not to mention the hand luggage. I got away without paying anything, cause there were some problems with double booking and I was a bit stressed, and finally the situation cleared out cause the check-in lady didn't read my name properly, so to cover her mistake, she checked me in without a word...

Welcome back to old Europe in any case, and I hope you'll keep writing :-)

Yes, I use a hairdryer sometimes: when my hair isn't as short as it is now again and when it's cold outside in the morning (quite often in Germany;-).

But who is complaining about that? Writing such a comment but not having the courage to write your name!? You're not a "man"!

@Dana

I wasn't too optimistic either so you can imagine how happy I was!

Maybe I should mention again that it was only ONE of my suitcases. The bag had 20 kg as well. And of course I had my handluggage. The lady who attended the people in the queue said it was too big and I had to check it in, too. When I came to the desk I asked if I could take it as my handluggage and the lady there said it was ok...

I guess I will keep writing but don't expect too much during the next few weeks: I have to finish a thesis.

Well, you all lost - I am the winner! I had 42kg on my way back from the UK and I guess Dana remembers quite vividly how many "handbags" I had (laptop, sax, backpack, small bag and a handbag of course!) I was fortunate as well, as the flight was not fully booked and therefore the lady at the check-in let me go without paying a single pence!

As you see, I am back from Corfu, but I guess it will take some time until I find time to update my blog!

Hope to see you soon (maybe at the concert in Neuhof?)

I'm still claiming to be the winner as 30+20 kg makes 50 kg but that's really not too important;-) Nice you are back! And we'll definitely see at the concert because I couldn't escape as hard as I tried! You know Theo ("Everybody who is there, has to play.")...

Well, it seems you have not tried hard enough ... I seem to have escaped, as it is my grandfathers 80th birthday (which was postboned, as my granny was in hospital) and no one told me that it is going to take place on the 7th now! Anyway, I will be there, as dinner is at 6 and I might be able to be in Neuhof for the second half of the evening, but I will not be on the stage - I told Theo that I feel a bit insecure with the new pieces (have not been to rehearsals since mid of August!) and I did not even have to beg to stay off the stage, he understood, but I guess I will not totally escape, maybe he will drag me on at some point, but I will be prepared!

Good to hear you are back, there is a lot to talk about, I guess - and I want to see pictures!!!!
