Palenque is another ancient town but contrary to Tulum it is in the forest. It really looks great as well and what impressed me is that only 4% of the whole town are discovered. The rest is still hidden in the forest. And if they wouldn't constantly remove plants, all buildings would soon be covered again.
There is one hill and they told us that probably there is a pyramide underneath as well.
To be precise: Martin told us as he was our tourist guide there. He had already been there before and to be honest I did a good job as tourist guide. There is more to learn and discover than in Tulum. So I prefer Palenque a bit. But both is worth seeing!

I'm sure both ARE worth seeing! :-) See, maybe Nadja is just trying to cover up her English with that strategy of hers ;-)
In any case, I am horribly jelous that you go and see all these places, as holiday is something like a dream to me now, maybe around Christmas and a few days in January. So I can only contemplate the pyramids, the beach and so on...
Keep having fun, the real working life is not amusing, I'm telling you.
hugs,
Dana
I'm with Dana on this one... Working sucks! Now that I have my diploma (:-)) my student life is over. My student body needs to get used to working and getting up at - let's say - 6. God, I so hate you. You're going on holidays from your holidays... top that! ;-)
btw: even though I couldn't motivate anyone, I still feel, I won your vocabulary test!!
Anyway, I hope you didn't buy too many bears in Campeche (see Yucatan II), because you can't bring them to Germany. Recently we seem to have quite some problems with bears here (specifically one named Bruno). ;-)
When will you be back? Eva just told me, you're thinking about staying in Mexico longer than September?
Thanks for correcting my mistakes! "Bears" of course should be "beers". I didn't understand the remark about Bruno but I guess I haven't really read German news for some time.
I'm not staying in Mexico longer than September although, yes, I would like to stay a little longer, let's say for about 6 months... I doubt I could live here for ever. Expect me on September 19 although I guess I'll be dead that day;-)
BTW, where do you work now?
